Update: I closed the contest three days earlier than planned.  If you want to see who got first, second and third place, please see Draw Sarah Contest Over.

Update Again: I'm extending the deadline to October 15th.  I'm not having a good day and I won't go into details about it because I already did in another journal post.  Don't bother looking because I deleted it after I was done rather than posting it.  In other words, I'm not in the right frame of mind to be making decisions right now.

Update: You can give your opinion on who you think should get first, second and third place in this contest.  If you're participating, then you don't get to vote.  Otherwise, feel free to state your opinion.

I decided to extend the deadline to September 30th.  That way, it'll give you more time if you want to enter my contest, and more time to clear my head and get some stuff done.  I also want to tell you that, if you're not satisfied with your entry, you are free to make changes to it before the deadline.

Another Update: Also, Sarah is the grasshopper equivalent to being in her early 20s and her bug body is curved and well endowed like the hourglass figure of a human woman.  So, she's very young.  Catherine Zeta-Jone was 29 in 1998, which is when A Bug's Life came to the theater.

Update: Forgot to mention that, if you want to read the fanfic Sarah comes from, check Criminal Chapter 1 WIP  Deadline for contest will possibly be September 1st.

I recently created A Bug's Life character who's a female grasshopper and a love interest for Hopper.  Her name's Sarah and I can't really draw her.  I usually rely on dollmakers but, since there's no grasshopper dollmaker or A Bug's Life scenemakers to be found, I have to make her as a human.  So, I was wondering if anyone would like to draw Sarah for me.  Here's how I imagine her.

"She had to admit that she was quite an attractive grasshopper with a forest green coloring streaked with purple (that took a great deal of work to maintain).  Sarah's eyes were emerald green and her antennae curled up to the front (it was not by natural design).  Her face had a smooth look and yet a feminine sharpness to it that many bugs said made her look aristocratic.   She had the typical body of a grasshopper with her abdomen pointed straight down to show she was a female and it was equally proportioned with her thorax, connected only by a tiny waist that showed her hourglass figure.  Her thorax also had a generous point in front of it covered by the common plating of a grasshopper.  Her upper left arm had four dangling bracelets and her lower left arm had two.  She wore two designer rings each on her upper and lower right hands, one on each finger.  Sarah also wore a pendant around her neck shaped like a music symbol.  Her finger claws were long due to her refusal to cut them."

So, she's a grasshopper with a feminine form, like Atta and Gypsy only she's a grasshopper.  Look up A Bug's Life grasshopper to get an idea of what I'm going for with Sarah, even if there are no female grasshoppers to be found in A Bug's Life.

Since this is a contest, I will be giving prizes to the top three.

First Prize: 150 points and I'll take three free requests from you.

Second Prize: 100 points and I'll take two free requests from you.

Third Prize: 50 points and I'll take one free request from you.

Side Note
I'm also having a hard time deciding who I want for Sarah's voice.  So, if you could check out my latest poll and my previous journal entry, that would be great.
